Volunteer: Guided Hike at Post Oak Preserve

Fall Guided Hike Series- Discover Dallas County's Hidden Gems!

Join us for a guided hike at Post Oak Preserve, lead by Dallas County Parks & Open Space Park Ranger, Casey Carter. Whether you are a experienced hiker or stepping onto the trail for the first time, all are welcome!

This preserve features a large forest and a network of both paved and soft-surface trails that lead to Hidden Lake. Don't miss the chance to discover the beauty of the preserve and learn more about its unique landscape. 

Event Details:

Please Note: There are no restrooms at this preserve

What to Bring: Don't forget your own water and please wear closed-toed shoes

Volunteer: Privet Removal at Cedar Mountain

Join us on Saturday, November 15th, to help us restore the natural beauty of Cedar Mountain Preserve by volunteering to remove invasive privet along the trail! Privet is harmful to our natural spaces for several reasons. It displaces native species and produces a dense thicket, ultimately decreasing biodiversity. It spreads rapidly and grows quickly, making it difficult to manage. Your work will truly make a difference to wildlife who depend on native vegetation.
